General Eligibility Criteria : Important Date updates : Graduate Route

Here is a highlight for international students who are students of UK Universities during COVID-19 related to the Graduate Immigration Route:

“The Government has confirmed that existing international students who have been studying by distance/blended learning will remain eligible to apply for the Graduate route provided they are in the UK by 6 April 2021 and meet the other requirements of the route. This is applicable for the 2020/21 academic year. In addition, students who commence a one-year Master’s programme in January 2021 will also remain eligible for the Graduate route, even if they are studying remotely, provided they enter the UK before 27 September 2021 and complete the final semester of their studies in the UK.”

Also during the current time to restate that UK is a safe place to study, our universities are well prepared and have robust plans in place:

  • The safety of students and staff at our world-leading universities is paramount – this is why Government and universities continue to monitor the health situation closely and will follow the latest scientific advice, adapting policies as the situation requires.

  • All universities have outbreak management plans in place. These have been shared with local Directors of Public Health and continue to be reviewed and updated based on emerging lessons and local situations. These plans are available on university websites, and international students can speak to their university for more detail.
