Covid Quarantine Support Package

I am delighted to inform you that the University of Sussex has approved a generous package of support for international students arriving from overseas in 2021.

For students travelling from “Red List” countries in 2021 the University of Sussex will offer a reimbursement of the full cost (up to £1750) of a stay at a government quarantine hotel.

For students travelling from “Amber List” countries in 2021 the University of Sussex will offer the following package of measures:

• Students who booked university managed accommodation can arrive early from 23 August to 10 September and will not be charged rent during this 10-day quarantine period
• All students arriving, at whatever date, will quarantine in their permanent residence
• Students will receive up to £50 towards the cost of a PCR Test and Release test
• Those in quarantine will be eligible for an isolation payment (£36 for university managed accommodation and £60 for privately managed accommodation)
