At Study Smart, we had a brain wave and thought of bringing you something “hatke” from the rut of education abroad.

 

So, we will be sharing with you, every week from now, a Destination of The Week, bringing you an insight into the various destinations you may wish to spend the best time of your college life at.

 

We thought of starting with the capital of Great Britain, the city of London. Why? Two things, its beautiful, and we love it!

London

The City of London is no ordinary city, it is the land of the extraordinary, the land of the of William Shakespeare, the Royal family, Sir Isaac Newton, and Harry Potter. Walking around the city of London, one feels inspired, by its art galleries, museum, to the Buckingham Palace and the Parliament with the famous Big Ben. A simple walk around this culturally rich city or a ride on the London Tube can inspire you in ways you’d never imagine.

 

Student Life here..

London is one of Europe’s most fascinating city’s with a diverse and well-aged culture. You don’t just study in London, you study rich heritage and breathe great urban culture. Think of the Big Ben, Parliament, Buckingham Palace—and all it has to offer.

If you study a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate degree course in a university in London, international students are allowed to work part-time during term for up to 20 hours a week and full-time during the holidays. If your course is a lower level then you can work for up to 10 hours a week.

London Eye: The world’s highest observation wheel, with 32 capsules, each weighing 10 tonnes, and holding up to 25 people, will show you London’s 55 landmarks in just 30 minutes.

 

Madame Tussauds: The name is enough to describe this world famous wax museum, where you come face to face with some of the world’s most famous faces, right from Brad Pitt to Her Majesty the Queen.
