Newcastle University is delighted to announce the launch of its prestigious and popular Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence and Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship schemes for 2025 entry to support the next cohort of international students in achieving their academic ambitions. With over 700 Scholarships available for International students, this funding initiative highlights the university’s continued commitment to attracting and supporting the best students from across the world to pursue their undergraduate and postgraduate degrees at Newcastle University, helping to foster a truly global academic community.

Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence Scholarships -2025 entry (VCES)

Prestigious Scholarships up to 50% of the tuition fee. 30 PG and 30 UG scholarships. Students need to make a separate application for this scholarship after they have received an offer of study - whether conditional or unconditional.

PG: 27th February 2025 and 29th May 2025

UG: 27th February 2025 and 3rd April 2025

Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarships - 2025 entry (VCIS)

£7000 for PG and £6000 for UG. 500 PG and 250 UG awards in total.

No deadline to apply for the scholarship. Eligible candidates will automatically be considered for this scholarship as part of their academic course application, and it will be mentioned on the offer letter. VCIS may be allocated early in the application cycle; early course applications are therefore encouraged.

Note : Scholarships will be renewable annually, subject to academic progression. So, UG VCIS will actually amount to 18,000 pounds for a 3 year course.
