Hello from a slightly less sunny and hot Manchester this week!

We know this is one of the busiest times of the year as we all prepare students for their arrival in September, so we're just sharing a few reminders this month! 

PSE courses are underway, pre-departure sessions are being created, students are applying for CAS and visas and stressing about what to pack! Our Pre-Enrolment Team is working hard to issue CAS documents and we're also preparing for the upcoming results release and clearing period.

Please take a few minutes to read the information below, which we hope will help you support your students and navigate the busy weeks ahead.

Application Deadlines

Application deadlines for students from markets classified by UKVI as non-high-risk are outlined below. Please note that country managers will contact colleagues directly to confirm any regional variations.

Undergraduate Applications

• Application deadline: 17th of August
• Deadline to meet conditions: 24th of August
• Deposit deadline: 2nd of September
• Deadline for CAS shield link: 31st of August
• Deadline to share CAS documents: 7th of September 
• Course start date: 28th of September 
• Latest arrival and enrolment date: 18th of October

Postgraduate Taught Applications 

• Application deadline: 9th of August
• Deadline to meet conditions: 24th of August
• Deposit deadline: 2nd of September
• Deadline for CAS shield link: 31st of August
• Deadline to share CAS documents: 7th of September 
• Course start date: 28th of September 
• Latest arrival and enrolment date: 18th of October

Tuition Fee Deposits

The university has updated tuition fee deposit regulations for the 26/27 academic year. If students have paid a tuition fee deposit but decide not to come to Manchester Met, the university will only make a full refund in certain circumstances. Please read through the below scenarios to understand our regulations. 

A full refund will be issued in the below circumstances

• The university is unable to fulfil the original course offer, for example if a course has been withdrawn
• A CAS not been issued
• A student has requested a refund within the 14 day cooling off period

A refund minus a £350 administration fee will be issued in the below circumstances

• A student has received a visa rejection from the UKVI for any reason other than deception. The university will require evidence of the visa decision
• A CAS has been assigned but no decision has been made

No refunds will be issued in the below circumstances

• A student has submitted fraudulent documents or the visa is rejected on the basis of deception
• A CAS has been issued and a decision has been made by UKVI. If a decision is still pending, students must provide the university with permission to contact UKVI to confirm the status of the application and whether it meets terms and conditions for a refund

Tuition fee payment plan 

We have recently increased the number of tuition fee payment instalments available to our international students.

In addition to the two and three monthly instalments options, our international students are now able to pay tuition fees across six-monthly instalments.  For courses starting in September 2026, the instalment period for six-monthly instalments is 13 October 2026 - 13 March 2027.
