At Study Smart, we believe that every journey is a story in the making, and our recent Pre-Departure Event was a celebration of the exciting new chapters about to begin for our students. Held at the beautiful Boat Club, Pune, this event brought together over 250 Students, Parents, and our expert counsellors for an afternoon filled with invaluable insights, interactive activities, and heartfelt farewells.
A Warm Welcome and Keynote Address
The event kicked off with a warm welcome from our founder, Chetan Jain, who emphasized the importance of adaptability, resilience, and the opportunities that lie ahead. He shared inspiring success stories from past students who have made their mark on the global stage, setting the tone for an afternoon of motivation and camaraderie.
Comprehensive Coverage of Essential Topics
Understanding the significance of thorough preparation, we ensured that our event covered all the crucial topics that will assist students in their study abroad journey. From cultural sensitivity to practical travel tips, each session was designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills they need to thrive in a new environment.
Engaging Activities and Interactive Sessions
We designed a series of engaging activities tailored to equip students with practical knowledge for their journey abroad. These included:
Cultural Sensitivity Workshop: An interactive session that provided insights into the cultural nuances students might encounter in their host countries, helping them navigate social and academic environments with ease.
Travel Tips and Packing Hacks: A fun and informative session where students shared their packing lists and travel tips, with a focus on maximizing efficiency while keeping essential items handy.
Mock Visa Interviews: A hands-on experience where students participated in mock visa interviews, gaining confidence and valuable feedback from our experienced counsellors.
Parent-Counsellor Interaction
We recognize that this journey is not just significant for students but also for their families. Therefore, we organized a dedicated session for parents to interact with our counsellors. This open forum addressed any concerns and provided reassurance, making sure parents felt as prepared and confident as their children.
Farewell and Networking
The event concluded with a heartfelt farewell, where students received personalized advice and best wishes from their counsellors. This was followed by a networking session, allowing students to connect with their peers who will be studying in the same destination. These connections are crucial as they build a support system even before their journey begins.
