A Study Abroad Seminar was recently held at G H Raisoni Institute of Engineering and Technology, Pune, with 150+ students participating to explore opportunities for higher education overseas.
The session covered international study options, popular destinations, and global career pathways, helping students better understand their opportunities abroad. The seminar was led by Mr. Rushikesh Gadhave, Manager, who guided students on key aspects of planning their international education journey.
The seminar introduced students to leading study destinations such as the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, and Europe, while discussing important factors to consider when selecting a university and course.
Students learned that choosing the right university involves more than rankings, with factors such as course relevance, career goals, practical learning, costs, scholarships, location, and post-study opportunities playing an important role.
The session also highlighted the importance of specialized skills, practical experience, and global exposure, guiding students to shortlist universities based on their academic profile, interests, budget, and future aspirations.

The active participation of 150+ students reflected their strong interest in gaining international academic and professional exposure.
The seminar addressed common concerns and misconceptions around studying abroad, including affordability, visa requirements, eligibility, and the application process. Students were encouraged to focus on accurate information, early preparation, and timely planning to make the process more manageable.
The importance of starting early was also highlighted, allowing students enough time to research programs, prepare applications, explore scholarships, plan finances, and complete visa requirements.

The seminar concluded with several students showing interest in personalized study-abroad counselling to explore suitable international engineering and technology programs based on their academic profiles and career aspirations.
